Telemedicine Visits

We bring UW Medicine providers to you with telemedicine visits

Receive personalized healthcare from home

With telemedicine, visit a UW Medicine provider like you would in person for primary, urgent and specialty care — by secure video instead. You’ll receive the same personalized medical care as you would in a face-to-face visit.

UW Medicine telemedicine visits are safe, private, and secure, and are a covered benefit for most insurance plans (double-check with your health insurer). And our UW Medicine interpreter services are available.

Schedule telemedicine visits for many health concerns, such as:

  • Acute care (for an illness, injury or infection)
  • Behavioral health
  • Chronic conditions

  • Follow-up care
  • Medication management
  • New pregnancy

  • Pre-surgical evaluation
  • Primary care check-up
  • Reviewing test results with your doctor

Can I get telemedicine if I am outside of Washington state?

Because of state licensing laws, our providers may not be able to see you via on-demand video visit or scheduled telemedicine visit if you are outside of Washington state. Please contact your care team by phone or MyChart if you have questions about your upcoming appointments.

Don’t have a MyChart account?

While a MyChart account is not required for telemedicine visits, having an account can help you more easily book and manage your telemedicine visit. Register for an account today or learn more about MyChart here.

Is my insurance accepted?

UW Medicine accepts most major insurance plans, including commercial plans, governmental programs (e.g., Washington State Medicaid, Washington Apple Health) and Medicare Advantage plans.
