From State Route 520:
- Take the first exit off SR 520 to Montlake Boulevard
- Turn left onto Montlake Blvd E and continue north across the Montlake Bridge
- Move to the left lane
- Turn left onto NE Pacific St
- Proceed past the UW Medical Center – Montlake on your left until you reach the light at 15th Ave NE
- Turn left onto 15th Ave NE
- 15th Ave NE will end at a stop sign
- Turn left (East) on Boat St.
- Continue past Gatehouse #6 to the top street level of S1 parking (on right)
From Interstate 5 (I-5):
- Take the NE 45th St exit
- Northbound: Turn right onto NE 45th St
- Southbound: Turn left onto NE 45th St
- Proceed on NE 45th St to 15th Ave NE
- Turn right onto 15th Ave NE
- Turn left onto NE Pacific St
- Stay in the far right lane to cross NE Pacific St (main street with traffic lights)
- 15th Ave will end at a stop sign
- Turn left (East) on Boat St
- Continue past Gatehouse #6 to the top street level of S1 parking (on right)
Public Transit to the IHDD
Link Light Rail/Sound Transit service brings you to the UW campus at Husky Stadium.
This is very convenient for IHDD patients and staff.

Medical Center Shuttle Buses
The UW Medical Center stop for Shuttles listed below is located between the Surgery Pavilion and the medical center's main building.
UW Medical Center South Lake Union Schedule
Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center provides free shuttle service between the UW Medical Center - Montlake and Fred Hutchison Cancer Research Center - South Lake Union.

S1 Parking Garage
Hours: Monday – Friday 6:00 am – 10:00 pm
Parking is complementary at night and from noon Saturday until 6 am Monday, except during special events, such as Husky home games.
Height Clearance: 7 feet 5 inches

Triangle Garage
Hours: (Parking Staff available): Monday – Friday 6:00 am – midnight, Saturdays 7:30 am – 4 pm

Surgery Pavilion Parking Garage
The Surgery Pavilion Garage is primarily for surgery patients and their visitors. Access the lot from N.E. Pacific Street, and turn left at the stop sign after passing the Emergency Department entrance.
Disability parking is located on all three parking levels, although Level P1 has limited availability for oversized vehicles.
Hours: Monday – Friday 6:00 am – 10:00 pm, Closed on Weekends
Height Clearance: 9 feet 6 inches in Level P1, 6 feet 7 inches in Levels P2 and P3
Valet Parking There is no additional fee for valet parking.
Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (closed on weekends)
Height Clearance: 6 feet 8 inches
Parking Fees and Validation
Most IHDD clinics provide reduced-rate parking validation for families with patient appointments. Validation reduces the price of parking. Request parking validation at the IHDD clinic you are visiting. The parking fee is determined by the length of your stay. The maximum fee for Surgery Pavilion, Triangle, and Valet Parking is $10 per day for patients with validation.
The maximum fee for S1 parking is $18 per day.
Disability Parking & UW Accessibility Information
Parking for persons with disabilities is provided in all parking areas. The detailed information for each parking area (links above) provides directions to elevators. Attendants in the parking areas can also provide directions to elevators. Parking permits for disabled and wheelchair areas cost the same as permits for other UW parking areas.
