About C. Ronald Scott
C. Ronald Scott, M.D., is a board certified physician at the Center on Human Development and Disability and director of the Phenylketonuria and Metabolic Disease Clinics at UW Medical Center and a UW professor of Pediatrics and Genetic Medicine and an adjunct professor of Medical Genetics and Medicine. He has been listed in “Best Doctors in America” since 1992.
Dr. Scott is a specialist in the diagnosis and management of children and adults with inborn errors of metabolism. He has initiated a program for the diagnosis and management of children and adults with lysosomal storage diseases.
Dr. Scott earned his M.D. at the UW. He is triple board certified in Clinical Biomedical Genetics, Clinical Genetics, and Pediatrics. He is a recipient of the FDA Commissioner’s Special Citation for his research on hereditary tyrosinemia I.
