About Matthew C Smith
Matthew C Smith, MD, PhD is a is a board-certified surgeon and clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at UW School of Medicine. He is trained in both open and endovascular techniques to treat a myriad of conditions involving the arteries and veins. He has a particular interest in Abdominal Aortic Aneurysms (AAA), Carotid disease, Thoracic Outlet Syndrome (TOS), peripheral arterial disease and limb salvage.
Dr. Smith believes in a team-based approach to patient care and providing the most current information in order the help patients and families make informed decisions about the best way to improve their vascular health and quality of life.
Dr. Smith’s clinical interests encompasses all conditions within the realm of Vascular Surgery but he’s particularly interested in the treatment of Aortic Aneurysms, Carotid disease, Thoracic Outlet Syndrome and Peripheral arterial disease.
Personal Interests
In his Free time, Dr. Smith enjoys spending time with family and escaping to the mountains to Ski, Rock Climb or mountain bike.
