Award-winning wound care in North Seattle
The Wound Care & Hyperbaric Clinic at UW Medical Center - Northwest provides state-of-the-art clinical wound care and hyperbaric medicine. With more than 25 years of experience, this center is one of the longest operating wound care centers in Western Washington.
While the patient’s primary care provider maintains overall care for the patient, we treat the wound while providing a case management approach that optimizes the continuum of care. We offer multidisciplinary consultation with on-site vascular surgery, podiatry, infectious disease and plastic surgery.
Any patient with a wound that has not started to heal in two weeks may be a candidate for treatment. Indications for wound therapy may include ulcers (diabetic, ischemic, neuropathic, pressure), venous insufficiency, collagen vascular disease, trauma, radiation injuries, surgical wounds and burns. We have received numerous awards for high patient satisfaction and healing outcomes.
Our Hyperbaric Medicine service provides consultation and hyperbaric oxygen therapy for patients with CMS-approved indications such as late effects of radiation, diabetic wounds of the lower extremity and others. We have three monoplace hyperbaric oxygen chambers on site, including a bariatric chamber.
