About John D. Scott
John Scott, M.D., M.Sc., is a board certified physician at the Hepatitis and Liver Clinic at Harborview. He is also a UW associate professor of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, the UW’s medical director for Telemedicine and leads the popular clinician-to-clinician consultation program called Project ECHO. He has been recognized by Seattle Metropolitan magazine as a Seattle Top Doctor.
Dr. Scott is an expert in viral hepatitis and infections in solid organ transplant patients. He loves his job and considers it a privilege to work with patients toward a healthier life.
Dr. Scott earned his M.D. cum laude at Georgetown University and his M.Sc. at the UW. He has an active research program in viral hepatitis, which is supported by federal, foundation and pharmaceutical grants. He has published in JAMA, Clinical Infectious Diseases, Annals of Internal Medicine, Lancet, Nature Medicine and the Journal of Infectious Diseases.
