Around-the-clock access to stroke neurologists
If you don’t have on-call neurologists to help with acute stroke patients in your community, partnering with a telestroke provider like UW Medicine is the next best option.
We offer 24/7 telestroke care and referral pathways to hospitals across Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana, and Idaho (WWAMI), 27% of the U.S. If your local hospital is our partner and you are having a stroke, we will be there. As a Joint Commission-certified Comprehensive Stroke Center and Level I trauma center, Harborview Medical Center, and stroke-trained experts are equipped to care for people with complex strokes — both in person and with telehealth.
Ongoing collaboration with your team
We’re not just available during emergencies. As our partner, you can turn to us for:
-
Care advice: reach out anytime with questions about ongoing care, such as when it’s safe to restart aspirin or enroll your patient in a stroke clinical trial.
-
Provider education: You’ll have access to online lectures and teleconferences, annual nursing education and continuing medical education (CME) opportunities.
