About David L. Tirschwell
David Tirschwell, M.D., M.Sc., is a board certified physician and medical director of Comprehensive Stroke Care at the UW Medicine Stroke Center at Harborview, and a UW professor of Neurology.
Dr. Tirschwell specializes in inpatient general neurology, stroke neurology and neuro-critical care and outpatient stroke neurology. He has provided care to patients since 1997.
Dr. Tirschwell earned his M.D. from Weill Cornell Medical College, New York City and his M.Sc. at the UW. He is board-certified in both General Neurology and Vascular Neurology. His clinical interests include general neurology, cerebrovascular disease, stroke prevention and treatment. His research interests include intracerebral hemorrhage, stroke epidemiology, quality of care, clinical trials and outcomes of stroke patients.
