About Stephen C. Rayhill
Stephen Rayhill, M.D., is a board certified surgeon at UW Medical Center and Seattle Children's Hospital, director of Transplant Clinical Services at UWMC and a UW professor of Surgery and Transplant.
Dr. Rayhill specializes in liver, kidney and pancreas transplantation, dialysis access, general surgery and hepatobiliary surgery. He strives to provide the best possible care for those suffering from end-stage organ disease. His goal is to provide personalized care with compassion, employing the greatest expertise and technology available. He also works for the advancement of the field of transplantation. Dr. Rayhill and patient Dave Skelton invited media into the operating room to document a living donor kidney transplant, UW Medicine's first ever live-tweeted surgery.
Dr. Rayhill earned his M.D. at Columbia. He serves on the UW Faculty Senate, the Ethics Committee of the American Society of Transplant Surgeons and the Board of Directors of the Nevada Donor Network.
Personal Interests
In his free time Dr. Rayhill enjoys skiing, mountain biking, surfing, music, literature, film, leadership, business and his three girls.
