About Stephan R. Thilen
Stephan Thilen, M.D., is a board certified anesthesiologist at Harborview and a UW assistant professor of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine.
Dr. Thilen believes in providing each patient with the safest and most comfortable anesthetic. He is committed to discussing with each patient any and all concerns about anesthesia.
Dr. Thilen earned his M.D. at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden. He conducts Health Services Research with a focus on preoperative patient evaluation and optimization, as well as utilization and coordination of preoperative resources. Dr. Thilen is also actively researching how to improve intraoperative use of muscle relaxants and neuromuscular monitoring.
