About Santiago Neme
Santiago Neme, MD, MPH, is a board-certified physician and UW Medicine clinical associate professor of Medicine and Infectious Diseases. Dr. Neme is the Medical Director of the University of Washington Medical Center and Associate Dean of the University of Washington School of Medicine.
Dr. Neme specializes in infectious disease. He believes in empowering patients. Informed patients are better equipped to make decisions. With the emergence of resistant organisms, novel respiratory pathogens, resurgence of life-threatening infections, advances in HIV prevention and treatment, and highly effective hepatitis C treatments, it is very exciting to be an infectious disease physician today.
Dr. Neme earned his M.D. at the National University of Tucuman in Argentina. He completed his Internal Medicine residency, Infectious Disease Fellowship and Master in Public Health (MPH) at the University of Washington. He’s a fellow of the American College of Physicians (ACP) and Infectious Disease Society of America (IDSA).
Personal Interests
In his free time Dr. Neme enjoys traveling, swimming, and spending time with family and friends.
