Raymond Yeung, M.D., is a board certified surgeon and founder of the UW Medicine Liver Tumor Clinic, the first clinic of its kind in the Pacific Northwest. He is also the section chief of HPB and Complex Abdominal Oncology, Director of the Center for Advanced Minimally Invasive Liver Oncologic Therapy (CAMILOT), Deputy Director of the Seattle Translational Tumor Liver Cancer Program, a UW professor of Surgery and an adjunct professor of Medicine, Medical Genetics and Pathology. 

Dr. Yeung’s clinical expertise is in the surgical treatment of tumors of the liver including the primary liver and bile duct cancers hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), fibrolamellar carcinoma (FLCC) and cholangiocarcinoma, as well as cancer that has spread to the liver such as colorectal, breast and ovarian cancer. Dr. Yeung specializes in minimally invasive surgery and has pioneered multiple new procedures including pain-reduction techniques in liver surgery. He believes in a multidisciplinary team approach in order to create the optimal treatment plan for each patient.

Dr. Yeung has a robust academic research presence at the University of Washington and has received both local and national research funding to support his work. His current research focuses on the molecular causes and early detection of hepatocellular and fibrolamellar liver cancer using a tissue slice culture model. Dr. Yeung is also internationally recognized for his groundbreaking research in tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC).
