About Rachel B. Issaka
Rachel Issaka, M.D., M.A.S., is a board certified gastroenterologist at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center and UW Medical Center and a health services researcher with the Fred Hutchinson Institute for Cancer Outcomes Research.
Dr. Issaka specializes in the medical and endoscopic management of digestive diseases including cancer complications that affect the gastrointestinal system. She believes that all patients and their families deserve excellent care delivered with compassion and respect that preserves their dignity during life’s most vulnerable moments. She strives to offer such care and looks forward to the relationships that will form as a result.
Dr. Issaka earned her M.D. at the University of Michigan and her M.A.S. from UC San Francisco. She conducts research related to colon cancer screening, prevention, and implementation of interventions that decrease disparities and improve outcomes in colorectal cancer care.

In her free time Dr. Issaka enjoys traveling, running, cooking and spending time with her family.
