About Murat Sadic
Dr. Murat Sadic is a Board-Certified academic nuclear medicine physician and an Associate Professor at the Division of Nuclear Medicine, University of Washington. He has been actively involved in clinical and investigative applications of nuclear medicine for more than 10 years.
Dr. Sadic earned his MD and (PhD equivalent) Nuclear Medicine training in Turkey and later served as faculty at a prestigious Turkish institution. In 2015, he joined UPENN as a Research Fellow and subsequently completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Nuclear Therapies and Theranostic Applications at the University of Heidelberg, Germany. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he was invited to Harvard Medical School. In 2019, he was recognized by the U.S. State Department as an "Extraordinary Academic Person" and received an EB1 Green Card.
He completed an additional residency in Nuclear Medicine from July 2021 to July 2023, during which he served as Chief Resident and followed by a PET/CT Molecular Imaging Fellowship at the Division of Nuclear Medicine, Department of Radiology, University of Washington.
He believes that functional and molecular imaging modalities and individual theranostic applications hold the potential to offer distinctive insights into cancer behavior, thereby influencing treatment decisions. These innovative techniques have paved the way for profound revelations in oncology, shedding light on cancer pathology and guiding the development of improved treatment strategies.
Dr. Sadic is well-versed in general Nuclear Medicine studies and techniques, Nuclear Cardiology, PET/CT modalities, and various therapies and theranostic applications. He is widely published in nuclear medicine and serves on the Editorial Review Board of several journals. His scholarly articles, editorials, and reviews have appeared in prominent refereed journals, and he has authored and co-authored over 100 scholarly articles, book chapters, projects, and scientific abstracts.
Passionate about resident and fellow education and molecular imaging, Dr. Sadic is an active educator, supervising and teaching Nuclear Medicine Resident and Fellow Education at the postgraduate level. He is also an editorial board member and expert reviewer for international journals.
He is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Board of Nuclear Medicine, The Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging, the American Roentgen Ray Society, the American College of Radiology, the Radiology Society of North America, the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, European Association of Nuclear Medicine, German Baden-Württemberg Medical Association, European Society of Radiology, and Turkish Society of Nuclear Medicine.
