Michelle Palmer, LMT, has been a Licensed Massage Therapist specializing in pain management and improving ease of movement since 2007. Her treatment modalities include Deep Tissue, Neuromuscular Technique, Swedish, Myofascial Integration, & Myofascial Release, and she has an extra endorsement for intraoral massage. She has developed a deep appreciation for how integrated the body and mind are -especially through the nervous and endocrine systems. Mindful of the importance of quality of touch, she balances deep, productive work and gentle care, addressing muscles, joints, the connective tissues between and around them, and the nervous system.
Her training began with Brian Utting School of Massage, a program with more than double the required hours and one of the best schools in the country for massage in its time. Her continuing training has focused in depth on related neurology, endocrinology, kinesiology, fascial, joint, and other structural science, including special certification for intraoral massage - especially helpful for those with TMJ / jaw pain or ‘TMD.’ She also has an extensive background in dance, including dance instructor certification with a world-renowned dancer, instructor & bodyworker. This expanded her capability to assess pain patterns, movement & posture issues, and address them with massage and take-home knowledge of their bodies, ideas for stretching, strength balance, movement re-programming, and home pain management pointers. She gives patients more control of their bodies and well-being and longer-lasting results.
Michelle still dances and performs, plays and enjoys music, reads, and loves her cat and parrot during her free time.
