About Michele A. Bedard-Gilligan
Michele Bedard-Gilligan, Ph.D., M.S., is a psychologist at UWMC-Roosevelt and a UW assistant professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.
Dr. Bedard-Gilligan specializes in using empirically supported treatments for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other anxiety disorders. She strives to create active partnerships with her patients to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Dr. Bedard-Gilligan earned her M.D. at the UW. He clinical interests include anxiety disorders, adjustment disorders, depressive disorders, domestic violence, health risk behaviors, obsessive compulsive and related disorders, pain, panic disorder, personality disorders, phobias, postpartum depression, stress related disorders, substance-related and addictive disorders, suicide, trauma, PTSD, disasters, anxiety disorders, stress related disorders and trauma. Her research is applied in nature and predominantly focuses on PTSD with specific emphases on its co-occurrence, and substance use disorders and on mechanisms of treatment and recovery.
Personal Interests
In addition to providing care to her patients, Dr. Bedard-Gilligan enjoys cooking, traveling, reading (mostly fiction) and spending time with her family.
