About Michael L. Richardson
Michael L. Richardson, M.D. is a UW professor of radiology and an adjunct professor of orthopedic surgery. He is an expert in advanced musculoskeletal imaging.
Dr. Richardson earned his bachelor's degree in physics from Texas A & M University, followed by an M.D. from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. After an internship at St. Joseph Medical Center in Houston, he entered the United States Air Force as a USAF staff internist. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Radiology (ABR) and has served several times as an oral board examiner for the ABR.
Dr. Richardson's clinical interests include advanced imaging of joint disease, musculoskeletal tumors, metabolic bone disease and sports medicine. As a radiologist, he tries to spend extra time answering patient questions, allaying any fears and making procedures as comfortable as possible.
Personal Interests
Dr. Richardson enjoys hiking, folk music and dance, and playing fiddle and guitar.
