About C. Michael Crowder
Michael Crowder, M.D., Ph.D., is a board certified physician and an adjunct professor of Genome Science.
Dr. Crowder specializes in the care of adult patients undergoing major surgical procedures, particular neurosurgery and otolaryngology. He practices a tailored approach to anesthetic care. His goal is to deliver the best care so each patient recovers in reasonable comfort without complications.
Dr. Crowder earned his M.D. at Washington University in St. Louis. He is a member of the Mitochondrial and Metabolism Center, and an NIH-funded neuroscientist with a focus on the identification of mechanisms responsible for injury of neurons and other types of cells in low-oxygen environments such as occurs during stroke and myocardial infarction.

In his free time Dr. Crowder enjoys family, skiing, whitewater, bird hunting, golf and sports.
