About Maya G. Sardesai
Dr. Maya Sardesai, M.D., M.Ed., is a head and neck surgeon at Harborview Medical Center, UW Eastside Specialties Clinic and the VA Hospital of Puget Sound and a UW assistant professor of Head and Neck Surgery.
Dr. Sardesai has advanced training in laryngology and facial plastic surgery. She aims to provide patients with information about their medical condition and treatment options in an understandable way. She likes treatment planning to be a collaborative process.
Dr. Sardesai has expertise in surgical treatment of snoring and sleep apnea, management of airway, voice and swallowing, treatment of head and neck trauma and cancer, and additional clinical interests in facial trauma, surgical treatment of obstructive sleep apnea and nasal/sinus surgery.
Dr. Sardesai's research interests include the impact of surgery on quality of life, medical education and continuing medical education.

In her free time Dr. Sardesai enjoys hiking and travel.
