About Matthew A. Triplette
Dr. Triplette is a specialist in pulmonary and critical care medicine, and is an assistant professor in the Department of Medicine and an assistant member of the Clinical Research Division at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. He sees patients in the outpatient setting at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, and provides consultative and critical care services to oncology inpatients at the UW.
His research and clinical interests are in chronic lung disease in immunosuppressed patients, as well as lung cancer screening, and he is an active participant in the UW lung cancer screening program.
Dr. Triplette received his bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from Wake Forest University. He then attended the University of North Carolina, where he received his M.D. with distinction and also completed an M.P.H. in Healthcare and Prevention. He went on to the University of California, San Francisco to complete residency in Internal Medicine. He then moved to Seattle for a fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at UW and joined the faculty immediately after fellowship.
Personal Interests
I enjoy taking advantage of the beautiful outdoors around Seattle through biking, skiing, running and hiking and spending time with my family and pets.
