Matthew Smith, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant at the UW Medical Center – Montlake, a teaching associate of medicine in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, an adjunct medical staff member of the Fred Hutch Cancer Center, and leads the 3 Wishes Project at the UW Medical Center – Montlake.

He is a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians.

Matthew cares for patients in the Oncology & Bone Marrow Transplant intensive care unit and Medical intensive care unit. Matthew strives to create active partnerships with patients and their families and enjoys the team-based approach to patient care in the intensive care unit.

Matthew’s clinical interests include infections in immunocompromised patients, point of care ultrasound, respiratory failure, and palliative care.
