About Marie Y. Davis

Marie Y. Davis, MD PhD, is a board-certified neurologist who specialized in genetic movement disorders. Dr. Davis is an assistant professor in the Department of Neurology at UW School of Medicine, and also a basic science researcher at the VA Puget Sound Healthcare System, a lab that focuses on genetic influences of Parkinson's disease.

Dr. Davis believes in a multidisciplinary approach to patient care, often including physical, occupational and speech therapy, caregiver education, social work, diet, and exercise. Her number one goal is helping patients maintain the best quality of life possible. Dr. Davis' clinical interests include movement disorders due to genetic causes, such as hereditary ataxias, dystonias, and parkinsonism; Huntington's Disease; Hereditary Spastic Paraplegias

Dr. Davis enjoys running, rock-climbing, and cooking during her free time.
