About Laurent A. Bollag

Laurent A. Bollag, M.D., is UW Medicine's Chief of Obstetric Anesthesia and Fetal Surgery Anesthesia. Dr. Bollag is also a Professor of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine.

Dr. Bollag believes one size does not fit all. His personal philosophy is to deliver individualized, compassionate, safety-focused and evidence-based care. His area of expertise is Obstetric Anesthesiology with a special interest in Enhanced Recovery after Cesarean (ERAC), post-Cesarean pain management and Regional Anesthesia.

Dr. Bollag earned his MD from the University of Zurich Medical School, Switzerland. He has published in the field of Obstetric and Regional Anesthesia and is an ad-hoc reviewer for various medical journals. He regularly presents at regional, national and international meetings and visiting professorships. His current scholarly activities are focused on clinical research and education.

Personal Interests

In his free time Dr. Bollag enjoys family, tennis and downhill skiing.
