About Laura E. Fife

Laura Fife, M.D. is a board certified physician in UW Medical Center’s Emergency Department and a UW associate professor of Emergency Medicine. She is also a medical officer on the Washington Disaster Medical Assistance Team and has provided assistance after Hurricane Katrina, Hurricane Rita and Hurricane Sandy.

Dr. Fife is proud to work in a place where the staff work so hard to provide the best possible care at any time of the day or night, regardless of the patient’s circumstances.

Dr. Fife earned her M.D. from the University of Utah. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine. Her research interests include disaster medicine and the health consequences of shiftwork.

Personal Interests

In her free time Dr. Fife enjoys cycling, organic gardening and dalmatians.
