About Larry S. Dean
Larry Dean, M.D., F.A.C.C., M.S.C.A.I., is an expert in general cardiology, cardiac catheterization and interventional cardiology. He strives to create active partnerships with his patients to achieve the best possible outcomes. He is listed in The Best Doctors in America
Dr. Dean is Founding Director and Medical Director of Outreach and Clinical Integration of the UW Medicine Heart Institute. He is a professor of Medicine, Cardiology, and Surgery at University of Washington's School of Medicine. In addition, he is the Medical Director of Clinical Products and Smart Innovation at UW Medicine.
Dr. Dean earned his medical degree from the University of Alabama. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases and Interventional Cardiology. His clinical research interests include interventional cardiology, cardiac catheterization, and valvular heart disease. His research interests include coronary stents, stent restenosis, and valvular heart disease.
Personal Interests
When not practicing medicine, Dr. Dean enjoys long distance bicycling, mountaineering, sailing and photography.
