About Kim Marie O'Connor
Kim O’Connor, M.D., is a board certified physician at the General Internal Medicine Clinic at UWMC-Roosevelt and a UW associate professor of General Internal Medicine and Oncology.
Dr. O’Connor provides comprehensive primary care to a diverse adult patient population. She believes that effective communication between physicians and their patients is essential to providing quality medical care. Successful interactions require active listening, empathy and negotiation.
Dr. O’Connor earned her M.D. at the UW. She has published numerous articles and book chapters on primary care topics including but not limited to: dermatologic issues, female sexual dysfunction, osteoporosis, communication skills and fatigue. Additional interests include women's health, mental health issues, medical education and wellness.
Personal Interests
In her free time Dr. O'Connor enjoys outdoor sports including soccer, snowshoeing and hiking. Her passions include international travel and spending time with family and friends.
