About Kenneth A. Schenkman
Kenneth Schenkman, M.D., Ph.D., is a board certified pediatrician in the Pediatric Intensive Care Units at Seattle Children’s Hospital and Harborview and a UW associate professor of Pediatrics, Critical Care Medicine, Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine and an adjunct associate professor of Bioengineering.
Dr. Schenkman strives to create active partnerships with his patients to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Dr. Schenkman earned his M.D. from Indiana University and his Ph.D. from the UW. His laboratory has been funded by grants from the National Institutes of Health, American Heart Association, Whitaker Foundation, McMillen Foundation, Medic One Foundation, W. H. Coulter Foundation and Washington State Life Science Discovery Fund. He has been awarded two US patents for his pioneering work, has published dozens of manuscripts, several book chapters and is an active reviewer for journals of medicine, physiology and engineering.
