Katheryn Salow, M.D. is at resident at Primary Care at Belltown. Through this continuity clinic, Dr. Salow hopes to gain experience in a clinical setting that will prepare her for career goals of caring for patients with substance use disorders, members of the LGBTQ community, and people living with HIV. Her clinical interests include providing individualized primary care, preventing and treating HIV, providing STI care, and treating substance use disorders. She seeks exposure to patients of varying economic backgrounds and insurance statuses. Katie aims to create a safe and affirming space for all patients in the clinic. She views patient care as a collaboration and hopes to empower patients to make informed decisions about their health. After residency, Dr. Salow sees herself working in primary care, ideally with a focus on HIV and/or addiction medicine, working at either an academic or urban community clinic.
