About Joseph M. Lauinger
J. Michael Lauinger, M.D., is a board-certified physician at UW Medicine Primary Care at Kent-Des Moines and a UW assistant professor of General Internal Medicine.
Dr. Lauinger believes that a healthy lifestyle and screenings to detect medical conditions are the cornerstones of primary care. Once a condition is diagnosed, he strives to empower patients with knowledge of their condition and its treatment in an effort to help them prevent complications and live the life they wish to enjoy.
Dr. Lauinger earned his M.D. at Georgetown University. His clinical and research interests include cardiology, diabetes care and preventative health.
