About John K. McGuire
John McGuire, M.D., is a board certified pediatrician, chief of Critical Care at Seattle Children's Hospital, the UW’s Arnold Lee Smith Endowed Professor for Pediatrics Research Faculty Development and a UW associate professor of Pediatrics.
Dr. McGuire is inspired to do his very best to provide outstanding patient care and education in pediatric critical care.
Dr. McGuire earned his M.D. from Northwestern University, Chicago. He is board certified in both General Pediatrics and Pediatric Critical Care Medicine. He is a member of the American Thoracic Society, Society for Critical Care Medicine and the American Society for Matrix Biology. He is a member of the UW Center for Lung Biology. His lab work is funded by the National Institutes of Health and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
