About Jacob E. Sunshine

Jacob Sunshine, M.D., M.S. is a board-certified anesthesiologist at UW Medical Center and a UW assistant professor of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine.

Dr. Sunshine's number one priority in caring for patients is to keep them safe before, during and after their procedures. His next goal is to help ensure patients are comfortable following their procedures. Finally, he also strives to put patients and their families at ease during what can be an extraordinarily stressful time.

Dr. Sunshine earned his M.D. and M.S. from the UW. His clinical and research interests include perioperative pain management, orthopedics, urologic and gastrointestinal procedures, public health, injuries epidemiology, and health care outcomes. In his free time Dr. Sunshine enjoys going on adventures with his family, hiking, reading and sports.
