Daytheon Sturges practices family medicine (PA-C) at UW Primary Care – Northgate. He is an Associate Professor of Family Medicine; Department of Family Medicine Vice Chair for Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI); and Associate Program Director for Regional Affairs, JEDI for the MEDEX Northwest PA Program.

Sturges received his BS in biology from Louisiana Tech University, his BS in Physician Assistant and Master of PA Studies from LSU Health – Shreveport, and his Ph.D. in health studies (community health promotion and health education) with a focus on higher education from Texas Woman’s University, where he also completed a post-master’s certificate in health informatics.

His academic and research interests include the intersection of medicine and social justice; burnout in underrepresented minority medical faculty, health promotion and education, and the role of social determinants of health in clinical decision-making. His medical interests include full spectrum primary care and chronic disease management in adult patients. Family medicine is Sturges’s vocation and his calling.
