About Daniel L. Silbergeld
Daniel Silbergeld, M.D., is a board certified neurosurgeon, a UW professor of Neurological Surgery and an adjunct professor of Pathology.
Dr. Silbergeld makes sure every patient receives his full personal attention and absolute best care he can provide. He believes all decisions about therapeutic options should focus on the wishes and priorities of the patient and family.
Dr. Silbergeld earned his M.D. at the University of Cincinnati. His clinical interests include brain tumors, epilepsy surgery, pituitary tumors, gamma knife radiosurgery and functional brain mapping for language, movement and sensation. His research program focuses on glioma invasion and motility, and the use of high-intensity focused ultrasound to temporarily disrupt the blood-brain barrier to enable delivery of chemotherapeutic agents to brain tumors.
Personal Interests
In his spare time, Dr. Silbergeld enjoys fly fishing, working out and spending time with his family.
