About Christopher Todd Longenecker
Chris Longenecker, MD, is a board-certified cardiologist who specializes in cardiovascular disease care and prevention for people living with HIV. Dr. Longenecker believes in patient-centered cardiovascular care and prevention in an HIV medical home. His integrated Madison Cardiology Clinic provides team-based cardiovascular care coordinated closely with primary HIV providers. Dr. Longenecker is an internationally recognized expert in the cardiovascular complications of HIV/AIDS, including heart attacks, heart rhythm disorders, and heart failure. He has special expertise in cardiovascular disease prevention, including the treatment of high blood pressure and cholesterol problems in people with HIV. He is an Associate Professor of Medicine and Global Health and Director of the Global Cardiovascular Health Program.
Personal Interests
Dr. Longenecker enjoys traveling, Huskies and Ohio State Buckeyes football, and kayaking around the beautiful Pacific Northwest during his free time.
