Cathy Phan ACNP-BC is a teaching associate in the Department of Radiology, Division of Interventional Radiology. She is a board-certified nurse practitioner radiologist at the Non-Vascular Intervention (NVI) unit.

Cathy completed her Bachelor’s in Nursing (BSN) degree at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, where she remained to complete her accelerated Master’s program (MSN) in Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP). Viewing the patient as a whole and actively engaging with them in their care is one of Cathy’s core values, especially in radiology, where interaction with patients can be episodic and brief. Making lasting connections and providing care that is remembered positively in potentially negative situations is part of her daily philosophy.
