I get cutting edge cardiac care tailored for my situation. She deserves every accolade and promotion possible. Make her a full professor and listen to what she has to say. As someone who has a lot of family in medicine, I know when I am getting outstanding care. Dr. Stempien-Otero is the rare doctor who has a fantastic way with patients and is a master of research.

In almost 10 years as a heart failure and then transplant patient, this was the first time a cardiologist really sat with me, didn't seem rushed or only focused on a few key points, and had a very holistic approach to my care / health. To give one example, people are usually satisfied that I can climb a flight of stairs - this was the first time I was encouraged to get more activity in my routine.
