Amineta Sy, DO, is an internal medicine resident.
Having lived in different countries and speaking five languages, Dr. Sy believes in individualized patient care that takes into account patients' cultural and religious backgrounds. Dr. Sy also believes the best way to deliver care is through collaboration, compassionate listening, and trust. Dr. Sy is a strong advocate of preventative medicine and patient education so patients can make informed decisions.
Dr. Sy's clinical interests include all aspects of internal medicine such as atrial fibrillation, acute coronary syndrome, acute decompensated HFrEF, syncope and presyncope, stroke (CVA) or TIA, venous Thromboembolism, DVT and PE, COPD, infectious diseases.
Personal Interests
Dr. Sy likes to spend time with her husband and her nieces and nephews. She enjoys reading feminist literature and West African novels. She is also an avid fan of reality TV shows.
