About Alex T. Lee
Alex Lee, M.D., is a board certified critical care anesthesiologist and head of Quality Assurance and Improvement at the VA Puget Sound Health Care System and a UW assistant professor of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine.
Dr. Lee is inspired by the extraordinary things that the modern specialty of anesthesiology is able to do for patients, from making surgery into a safe and comfortable experience for so many people of diverse ages and physical conditions, to providing the highest levels of life support to those who require it.
Dr. Lee earned his M.D. from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. He is board certified in both Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine. He has been recognized for outstanding contributions to training of residents and medical students in Anesthesiology and Critical Care.
Personal Interests
Dr. Lee is a passionate world traveler fluent in English, French, Spanish and Chinese. He loves the opera and the symphony, and has an awkwardly large memory for Italian opera libretti. Literature excites him, and he is chronically in a losing battle to learn Russian so he can read Tolstoy for real.
