Dr. Dandekar is such an exceptional doctor. Every time I have an appointment, I leave with confidence and trust in his guidance and treatment regimen. He's excellent at balancing treatment/science and patient needs, not all doctors can do this well.

About Ajai A. Dandekar
Ajai Dandekar, M.D., Ph.D., is a board certified physician at the Adult Cystic Fibrosis Clinic and ICU at UW Medical Center and a UW assistant professor of Medicine and Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine and an adjunct assistant professor of Microbiology.
Dr. Dandekar specializes in the care of patients with the genetic disease cystic fibrosis. He maintains an active laboratory research program. Cystic fibrosis is a complicated, multi-organ system disease, and he enjoys finding treatments that allow our adult patients with cystic fibrosis to live full lives.
Dr. Dandekar earned his M.D. and Ph.D. from the University of Iowa. He is triple board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine. His clinical and research interests include cystic fibrosis, critical care medicine, the sociality of bacteria and the relationship between bacterial sociality and clinical diseases.
