About Ajit P. Limaye
Abhijit Limaye, M.D., is a board certified physician at the Infectious Diseases & Tropical Medicine Clinic and Kidney Care and Transplantation Services at UW Medical Center and director of UW Medicine's Solid Organ Transplant Infectious Disease Program. He is also a UW professor of Medicine and Allergy and Infectious Diseases and an adjunct professor of Laboratory Medicine.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Limaye has made significant contributions in the areas of diagnosis and treatments of infections in transplant patients. He strives to provide expert, evidence-based, compassionate care in a friendly and respectful environment.
Dr. Limaye earned his M.D. from the UW. His clinical and research interests include prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of infections in organ transplant patients and developing better ways to prevent, diagnose and treat viral (cytomegalovirus, BK virus) and fungal infections in transplant patients.
