A cancer diagnosis can be a frightening and life-changing event. It is important to feel there is someone with expertise and understanding on your side to help you fight the disease.
Conveniently located in North Seattle, the Gynecology and Gynecologic Oncology Clinic at UW Medical Center - Northwest, formerly known as the Women's Cancer Care Clinic, combines the expertise of the region's leading gynecologic oncologists with an experienced, caring team of nurses, technicians and staff. They work together to provide the most advanced prevention and treatment available for gynecologic cancers. Cancers treated include uterine, endometrial, ovarian, cervical, peritoneal, tubal, vaginal, vulvar and gestational trophoblastic neoplasia.
The staff at the Gynecology and Gynecologic Oncology Clinic is dedicated to achieving positive results for our patients while working with our peers across UW Medicine and the nation to find an ultimate cure. We carefully explore all options for patients in developing state-of-the-art treatment plans. This may include minimally-invasive surgery, chemotherapy and research protocols, or other innovative procedures when conventional therapies may not have the desired effect.
We oversee and coordinate each patient’s care with the entire care team, including other doctors, specialists and practitioners, to ensure clear communication, effective treatment and truly integrated care. Building close relationships with our patients also means taking the time to educate them about the latest treatments, techniques, research and information, and to empower them to play an active role in making decisions about their own care.
At the Gynecology and Gynecologic Oncology Clinic, we are passionate about finding ways to help our patients become cancer survivors. Our reward is seeing patients and families return to healthy, normal, disease-free lives.
